Hi, my name is Lenka.
This website is for everybody who thinks about me and wonders what’s happening to me and what I’m doing every day.  As you all probably know by now, I’ve got leukaemia.  It’s a nasty disease, I think, because when my mummy found out I had it  she cried a lot.  It’s not that bad anymore.  I don’t live in my room at home anymore, and I don’t go for walks with my granny, but here in the hospital, I have met a few nice kids, have lots of toys to play with and lots of  “aunties” in white uniforms...oh,  and even one “uncle”...and mummy or daddy are  always with me. I will be telling you what’s happening to me every day so you know how I’m doing, like a diary of my fight with this disease;  Nowadays  it’s called a blog !
My mummy and daddy have told me that all of you worry a lot and keep your fingers crossed, for my sake.  They keep kissing and hugging me from you all... I got new toys and pyjamas as well!!!
You are all terribly nice!!   Also sometimes through some kind of tube in my arm ladybirds run ;-)...  So say my aunties in white uniforms, but I’ve heard that in fact it’s called blood, which goes to my veins and it makes me better and more  rosy.  And, I know that it is very good for me and that it is very important that there is never a shortage of it, for me or other children.  So if you can, please, give some of your ladybirds, (apparently they multiply,  afterwards ) , so there is a hoard of them for me and others.  How to do it you will find out on this website.  I thank everyone with my sweet smile ;-).
So...keep your fingers crossed and read about me on my blog.
Hi five!!
